Falk Energy and Bulk Infrastructure have signed a new pilot agreement for the installation and testing of Falk Energy's vertical-axis wind turbine (FALK VAWT) at Bulk's Data Center Campus N01 in Støleheia, Vennesla municipality. The goal is to optimize and integrate local, renewable wind energy into the data center's operations.
The agreement means that Falk Energy will install and test the technology under real operating conditions, with a view to a possible long-term supply agreement if the results from the pilot meet expectations.
For Falk Energy, the agreement is an important milestone. Developing new technology for the renewable energy market is no easy task, and an agreement with a recognized player in digital infrastructure in Norway lends both professional and commercial credibility to the work behind FALK VAWT.
"Bulk is happy to support a local entrepreneur with an outstanding concept, while also helping to unlock renewable power generation with a significantly smaller footprint than traditional wind power," says Torbjørn T. Moe, Chief Business Development Officer at Bulk Infrastructure.
